Bahrain 2025 Asian Youth Games – (Aged 14-16) 

Selection Policy

Objectives:
The primary objective of this policy is to set out the criteria for selection, to ensure fairness, consistency, and transparency in the selection process for TriHK to select capable and eligible athletes to represent Hong Kong, China, with the target to challenge for the best result in the individual and Mixed Team Relay event at the aforementioned Games.

Details & Criteria:

1. Athletes must be born between 1 January 2009 and 31 December 2011 to qualify and are current TriHK National Squad Members.

3. Athlete must have sufficient results to be put on the start list for all events.
4. The aim of team selection is to win medals at the 2025 Asian Youth Games.
5. Athletes with any current (2025) disciplinary issues are not eligible for selection.
6. Consider the official results:

• 2025 Summer Triathlon Challenge – due to inclement weather, the race has been cancelled.
• 2025 Asia Triathlon Sprint Championships – Hong Kong
• 2025 Asia Triathlon Junior Cup – Kampar, Malaysia
• 2024 Asia Triathlon U15 and Junior Championships – Hong Kong

7.     If the criteria are not reached, the slot will become discretionary based on TriHK.
8.     Final event slot will be subject to the Sports Federation& Olympic Committee of Hong Kong China (SF&OC)

TriHK reserves the right to adjust the above criteria when and where necessary and has the final discretion.
