2026 Asia Triathlon Super Sprint U15 Championship Xuzhou
(13 June - 14 June 2026) Selection Policy
(6 men and 6 women slots) (tentative number)

Objectives:

The primary objective of this policy is to establish criteria for selection, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency in TriHK's process for selecting capable and eligible athletes to represent Hong Kong, China, to challenge for podium positions (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in the individual and Mixed Team relay at the aforementioned event.

Details & Criteria:
1. Athletes must be born between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2013 (Aged 13-15) to qualify and are current TriHK National Squad Members.
2. Athletes must have sufficient results to be put on the start list for all events.
3. Athletes with any current (2026) disciplinary issues are not eligible for selection.
4. Race Selection Slots:
• Best-ranked Hong Kong athlete in the Top 8 of the 2025 Bahrain Asian Youth Games - Individual Race (1 slot)
• Best-ranked Hong Kong athlete in the Top 8 of the 2025 Asia Triathlon U15 Championships Jeddah (1 slot)
• Top two U15 Hong Kong athletes cross the finish line at the 2026 Asia Triathlon Junior and U23 Championships (Elite Youth), Hong Kong (2 slots)
• Top two U15 Hong Kong athletes cross the finish line at the 69th Festival of Sport - 2026 Age Group Triathlon (Elite Youth) (2 slots)

*If the criteria are not reached, the slot will become discretionary based on HKSFOC “Objective Selection Criteria”.

Reserve Slots:
- Any eligible athlete not selected via the above selection methods would be substituted if the selected athlete is unable to take part due to injury/physical/mental conditions.

TriHK reserves the right, when and where necessary, to adjust the above policies and has the final discretion.
